KARANGANYARNEWS - Kabar duka kembali menyelimuti dunia musik R&B seluruh dunia. Keith Eric Martin atau Keith Martin yang dikenal sebagai penyanyi dan penulis lagu meninggal dunia dalam usia 55 tahun, Jumat 25 Maret 2022 waktu setempat.
Dikutip dari laman Star Cinema, meninggalnya Keith Martin diketahui setelah jenazahnya ditemukan di kediamannya di Libis, Quezon, Filipina.
Banyak selebritas yang menyampaikan belasungkawa atas kepergian pelantun lagu hit berjudul "Because of You" tersebut.

Seperti penyanyi dan aktris Filipina Sheree Bautista membuat serangkaian unggahan tentang Keith Martin. Melalui kanal YouTube-nya, dia membawakan lagu "Heaven Knows" yang ditulis Keith untuknya.
Sementara Thyro Alfaro mengatakan bahwa dia tidak akan pernah melupakan kata-kata Keith yang sangat menginspirasi baginya.
Penyanyi R&B Kris Lawrence juga menyayangkan kepergian Keith Martin yang selama ini telah menjadi inspirasinya di industri musik.

"Berita ini mengejutkan. Keith Eric Martin pergi terlalu cepat. Kau akan dirindukan. Musik yang kau buat akan tetap hidup di hati kami selamanya," ujar Kris Lawrence dikutip dari MGA Entertainment.
Keith Martin terkenal sebagai penyanyi dan penulis lagu-lagu romantis. Dia meraih ketenaran global di tahun 90-an.
Beberapa lagunya juga masih sering diputar hingga saat ini termasuk lagu "Never Find Someone Like You", "Why Can't It Be", dan "Forever Will Be". Dia kemudian mencapai kesuksesan besar lewat lagu "Because of You".

Selama beberapa tahun terakhir, Keith Martin tinggal di Filipina. Dia konsisten berkolaborasi dengan artis lokal seperti Jinky Vidal, Sheree Bautista, dan Luke Mirajes.
